ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP
Section 1: Eligibility Membership in BACUDA-USA shall be open to all individuals residing in the United States of America who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Lineage: Individuals born in, or originating from the Bangang Village.
- Marriage: Individuals legally married to a Bangang person by lineage.
- Affinity: Widows or widowers of Bangang spouses who wish to maintain their ties to the community.
Section 2: Member Rights Rights and privileges are strictly reserved for members in Good Standing (defined as members who are current with their dues and not under disciplinary suspension).
- Voting Rights: Active members have the right to vote on all key decisions, including the election of Executive Bureau (EB) officers and the approval of amendments to the bylaws.
- Participation: Members shall have the right to attend all General Assembly meetings, participate in discussions, propose motions, and serve on committees.
- Access to Information: Members are entitled to inspect the Association’s financial records, meeting minutes, and activity reports upon submitting a written request to the Secretary General.
- Grievances: Members have the right to due process and may file formal grievances regarding the Association’s operations or the conduct of officers to the Council of Elders or the Executive Bureau.
Section 3: Member Responsibilities
Acceptance of membership constitutes an agreement to abide by the following obligations:
- Financial Obligations: Members shall pay all annual dues, registration fees, and mandatory levies as determined by the General Assembly.
Renewal Deadline: Annual membership renewal fees are due and payable by January 31st of each calendar year.
2. Attendance: Members are expected to actively participate in the life of the Association by attending General Assembly meetings and supporting official events.
3. Compliance: Members must strictly comply with the Association’s Bylaws, Standing Orders, and the resolutions adopted by the General Assembly.
4. Volunteerism: Members are encouraged to volunteer their time, skills, and professional expertise to advance the Mission of the Association without expectation of monetary compensation.
