BACUDA (Bangang Cultural Development Association in the USA) is a community-driven organization dedicated to uniting Bangang sons and daughters living in the United States while supporting sustainable development and cultural preservation in Bangang, Cameroon. We serve as a bridge connecting people, traditions, and opportunities across continents.
Our Vision
To create a united, empowered Bangang community that thrives in the USA while contributing meaningfully to education, health, and cultural progress in Bangang Village.
Our Mission
The Mission of the BACUDA-USA is to promote mutual assistance among its members, promote the Bangang culture and contribute to the development of the Bangang people. Specifically, the objectives of the Association are:
- Mutual Assistance: To promote solidarity, social welfare, and assistance among its members.
- Cultural Preservation: To promote Bangang heritage, traditions, and language.
- Development: To act as a strategic channel for the socio-economic development of Bangang people.
What We Do
In the USA:
- Bring Bangang community members together to celebrate culture, share knowledge, and provide mutual support.
- Assist students and newcomers in adapting to life in America.
- Stand with members during important milestones—births, weddings, graduations, and bereavement.
- Collaborate with leaders to ensure fair access to opportunities for all members.
In Bangang, Cameroon:
Support education initiatives by building schools, providing books, and training teachers.
Implement health programs addressing maternal care, child nutrition, and essential healthcare services.
Empower women and youth through mentorship, scholarships, and vocational training.
Promote sustainable development projects such as reforestation, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture.
Engage communities to ensure projects are relevant, effective, and long-lasting.
Partner with local governments and NGOs for maximum impact.
